(February 1, 2003) -- Fairport 63, Churchville-Chili 28: Corey Magee scored six
of his 12 points in the first quarter as the Red Raiders (14-2) opened up a 24-4
lead. Phil Cullum scored nine for the Saints (0-16).

Brockport
The Boys' Varsity Basketball team defeated
Brockport by a final score of 48-32. The Raiders took a commanding 16-6 first
quarter lead and never looked back. Up by 8 at the half, the Raiders went on to
score 12 third quarter and 10 in the fourth.
As a team, the Raiders shot 40% from the field
going 3-for-8 from 3-point range and 13-for-32 from within the 3-point arc. From
the free-throw line the team was 13-for-16. Also as a team, they pulled down a
total of 35 rebounds and 11 assists but turned the ball over 21 times.
Erik Johnson, Eric Snider and Adam Wale scored
in double-figures for Fairport, accounting for 12, 10 and 10 points
respectively. Snider lead the Raiders on the boards with 10 rebounds.
Next up on the Varsity Raiders
schedule is Greece Arcadia at home on
January 8th.

Fairport 63, Penfield 42: Erik Johnson
scored 10 of his 13 points in the first half as the Red Raiders took a 40-18
lead. Eric Snider scored five points in the opening five minutes, before leaving
with an eye injury. The Red Raiders (3-1, 4-1) made 13 steals in the game. Jay
Murphy scored 13 points for Penfield (1-5).

58: Devaughn Snowden scored 20 points for Gates Chili.
Adam Wale knocked in a 3-pointer with 42 second remaining in the fourth to bring
the Red Raiders within three. Wale finished with 14 points for Fairport (0-1,
1-1).
Fred Calloway made 4 of 6 free throws in the final 25 seconds to ice the game
for the Spartans (2-0, 2-2).
