01/21/03 - Girls' Modified A Blue team wins easily over HFL
01/17/03 - Girls' Modified A Blue Team checks in with two wins this past week. The first game on January 14th saw the Raiders take on Gates Chili at Minerva Deland and come away with a 45-21 victory. In Friday's game against Rush Henrietta, also at Minerva, the Raiders showed what team basketball is all about, beating the Royal Comets 41-15.

12/25/02 - She's the nation's top shot-blocker and among the region's top post players. Last season, she led all NCAA Divisions with over five blocked shots per game. Needless to say, she's been described as an "intimidating presence" in the post position. 12/21/02 - Girls' Junior Varsity wrapped up a very strong week with two run-away wins. The team beat Churchville Chili on December 17th by 29 points. The score at the final buzzer was 48 to 19. The team faced Penfield on the 20th and won by an even larger 34-point margin, defeating the Patriots 65-31. Mallory Kennedy and Julie Marriott have been "unstoppable" in the words of one of our one-the-scene reporters. Congratulations Raiders!
The JV Raiders next face Pittsford Sutherland on December 27th.

Fairport High School announced on Monday that Kermit Moyer is the school's new girls basketball coach. The appointment of Moyer, 36, ends a two-month search to replace Karen Thull, who resigned on April 25 after posting a 130-18 record with four Section V championships in six seasons with the Red Raiders. story continues
