12/12/02 Varsity Raiders lose a tough one to
Gates Chili
In their second game of the season, the Boys' Varsity Raiders took on the Gates
Chili Spartans at Fitch Court on December 11th, 2002, having won their
season-opener over Edison.
Though they led by only two points at halftime, the Spartans outscored the
Raiders by seven in the third quarter to pull head by nine points. That proved
to be a lead they'd hang on to, winning the contest by a score of 63 to 58,
handing the Varsity Raiders their first loss of the season.
Adam Wale and Eric Snider each scored 14 points for the Red
Raiders while Cory McGee, the 6'6" freshman, contributed 11. Wale
was 2-for-6 from three-point range and a perfect 2-for-2 from the free-throw
line. Snider pulled down 8 rebounds in the contest while McGee
grabbed 6.
