12/12/02 Varsity Raiders fend off a tough R-H squad

Varsity head coach Scott Fitch knew that his team would have to dig deep on this Friday night. The Royal Comets were sure hit the Raiders' home court with confidence, having been undefeated so far this season.

Fairport struggled a bit in the first half of their third game of the season, heading into the locker room at the half-way point down by four. A fired up Raider team played hard in the third quarter to lead by a point going into the home stretch.

Junior Ryan McAdam scored a game-high 12 points as seniors Adam Wale and Eric Snider added 9 and 8 points respectively. Wale was 2-for-3 from outside the three-point circle while Snider hit the boards for eleven rebounds.

When the final buzzer sounded, the Raiders had eked out a two point victory, winning 41 to 39.
