points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead the Knights (7-2). Edison is 1-7.

Nazareth rallies to top
Athena
Democrat and Chronicle
(December 29, 2002) — Nicky Lewis scored nine points in the fourth quarter
to lead Nazareth to a 48-41 win over Greece Athena in a non-league
basketball game Saturday.
Meghan Dahlman had 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 blocks before fouling out
in the final minute for Nazareth.
Dahlman was held to seven points in the first half. She rebounded in the
third quarter, scoring 10 points.
Nikki Lockhart had 15 rebounds for the Lasers (5-3).
AVON TOURNAMENT
Championship, Central Square-III 54, Avon 32: Amelia Feller scored 10
points for Avon (4-5).. |

COACH CHOW CLASSIC AT ROBERTS WESLEYAN
Championship, Churchville-Chili 64, Brockport 47: Colleen Montgomery scored
eight of her 16 points in the second quarter for the Saints (5-4), who won their
fourth straight Coach Chow championship. Montgomery was named MVP.
Katie Sullvian had eight assists and was named to the all-tournament team.
Brockport is 5-4.
Consolation, Spencerport 57, Gates Chili 54 (OT): Carrie Kazmierski scored seven
points in the fourth quarter to help Spencerport (3-4) tie the game and
eventually win in overtime.
Kendra Bryant grabbed 13 rebounds for Gates Chili (2-7).
DANSVILLE TOURNAMENT
Championship, Greece Odyssey 43, Campbell-Savona 36: Rachel Pagano-Fuller scored
13 points and grabbed eight rebounds to be named MVP for Odyssey. Olivia Meier
had eight rebounds and was named to the all-tournament team for Odyssey (7-2).

tournament’s sportsmanship award for Aquinas.
Dee Ann Magliocco had 7 rebounds, 5 steals and 4 assists for the Little Irish
(4-3).
PALMYRA-MACEDON TOURNAMENT
Consolation, Marcus Whitman 38, Palymra-Macedon 33 (OT): Claire Tuck hit 3 of 4
free throws in overtime to help lift the Wildcats (4-6).
Mindy Ball scored 11 points for Pal-Mac.
PERRY TOURNAMENT
Consolation, Perry 39, Kendall 23: Jenna Fahey had three steals in the second
quarter as Perry (5-2) used a full-court press to go on an 18-4 run.
PITTSFORD MENDON TOURNAMENT
Championship, Honeoye Falls-Lima 69, Pittsford Mendon 63: Maddy Brown scored 27
points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Cougars. She was named tournament
MVP.
Jessica Chapin had seven assists for the Cougars (7-2). Mendon is 6-4.
Consolation, Penfield 51, Victor 27: Kayleigh Duda had six steals to go with her
14 points for Penfield (6-2). Penfield scored 25 points off of turnovers.
WAYLAND-COHOCTON TOURNAMENT
Championship, Irondequoit 40, Wayland-Cohocton 32: Alyssa Bennett and Emily
Nicholas combined on consective 3-pointers to open the third quarter for
Irondequoit. Erin Vess had 6 points, 12 rebounds and 4 steals to earn MVP honors
for the Eagles (5-3).YORK TOURNAMENT
Consolation, Byron-Bergen 49, Le Roy 35: Rachel Smith scored 13 for the Bees
(8-1).
VOLLEYBALL
CHURCHVILLE-CHILI TOURNAMENT
Rachel Schamberger had 36 kills and 10 blocks as Greece Arcadia took the team
title. Chris Arieno had 37 kills for runner-up Brockport. Stacey Scott had 22
kills and 15 blocks for host Churchville-Chili.
SWIMMING
AVON INVITATIONAL
Letchworth’s Liz Davis won the 50 freestyle and the 100 free.
