01/08/03 Fairport's early surge stops Athena

(January 8, 2003) — PERINTON — Fairport used a big first half to stay undefeated with a 58-47 victory over Greece Athena in a Monroe County game on Tuesday.

Sabrina Boykin had 10 points in the first half to give the Red Raiders a 28-16 halftime lead.

Lindsay Ellis led Fairport (5-0 league, 9-0 overall) with 17 points, and senior Kristin Olejarczyk scored a career-high 15 points for Fairport .

Katie Pauly scored 16 points for Athena (5-0, 7-3).
