The lady Raiders defeated Gates Chili today 54-21. The scoring was spread among ten players, led by Gretchen Miller with 13 points, many in transition sparked by her tenacious defense. Katie McCarthy, who has established herself as a complete basketball player contributing offensively, in the post and on the perimeter, defensively and in transition, had 11 points and Vicki Legler, solidifying her role as a go-to and clutch player, posted 10 points. Jami Schwartz played an outstanding game defensively and gathered several key rebounds. Ali Thomsen ran the offense nearly flawlessly with many effective and timely assists. Colleen Dodd and Colleen Curtin continued their outstanding efforts rebounding and on defense, unselfishly filling in the final pieces of the puzzle for a complete team effort.
