Today the lady Raiders played an outstanding defensive game against Rush Henrietta. Adrienne Gibson anchored the defense with several blocked shots and many more shots altered. Kelly Flanagan, after missing the last game with an illness, played very effectively on and off the ball defensively, and with the ball offensively. Sam Carra and Carina Christiaansen were very active on top of the 2-3 zone when they were on the floor. Offensively, Gibson had 8 points while Katie McCarthy had 10 points, and Vicki Legler lead all scorers with 14 points. Ali Thomsen, Gretchen Miller, and Rachel Mattei were effective floor leaders distributing the ball, many times passing up their own shots to set up teammates who had better opportunities.
