Fairport J.V. Boy's Basketball improves to 12 and 3

In a busy week the JV Raiders defeated 3 opponents. In the first game of the week, Fairport hosted Brockport. In the first half the Raiders took the lead 23 to 16. Brockport hit 4 three pointers in the third quarter to take the lead back 38 to 34. In the fourth quarter Fairport put on a 22 to 7 run to go on to win 56 to 45. Leading a balanced scoring attack for Fairport was Nick Pelusio with 16 points. Also scoring were Kelly Condello with 13, Mike Wayne with 10, Corey McAdam with 9, Jeremy Roberts with 4, Bob Duell with 2, Pat Tiberio with 1 and Adam Cole with 1. Also playing and contributing to the win were Owen Reilly, Josh Michalko, Mark VanThof, and Mark Bruce.

In the second game of the week the Raiders played Hilton. Fairport dominated this game from the beginning, outscoring the Cadets 29 to 11 in the first half. Fairport used a 21 to 12 run in the third quarter and went on to win 62 to 38. Leading the scoring for Fairport was Condello with 15 points. Also scoring were McAdam with 12, Duell with 7, Tiberio with 6, Bruce with 6, Roberts with 4, Pelusio with 3, Cole with 3, Reilly with 2, Wayne with 2 and VanThof with 2.

In the last game of the week the Raiders hosted Gates. The first half was played fairly even with Gates leading the half 26 to 23. The Raiders outscored Gates 16 to 10 in the third quarter to regain the lead, 39 to 36. Corey McAdam scored 17 of his game high 19 points in the second half to help the Raiders close out the victory, 52 to 45. Also scoring for Fairport were Pelusio with 14, Condello with 11, Bruce with 5, VanThof with 2 and Duell with 2.
