Fairport J.V. Boy's Basketball Finishes Season 14-4

The Fairport JV Boys' Basketball team finished off a successful season, winning 2 of their last 3 games. In the first game the Raiders hosted Mendon in a non-league crossover game. The first half was dominated by Fairport with the Raiders outscoring Mendon 37 to 20. Fairport continued to outscore Mendon in the second half to go on to win 60 to 39. Leading the scoring for Fairport was Bob Duell with 15 points. Also scoring were Mark Bruce with 12, Kelly Condello with 8, Nick Pelusio with 8, Corey McAdam with 6, Jeremy Roberts with 5, Pat Tiberio with 4, and Adam Cole with 2. Also playing and contributing to the win were Owen Reilly and Josh Michalko.

In the second game of the week the Raiders traveled to Rush Henrietta to try to avenge an earlier overtime loss. Fairport held a slight edge at the half, leading 28 to 24. The Comets outscored the Raiders 13 to 6 in the fourth quarter to put the game into overtime. In the first overtime, Fairport led by 3 with 10 seconds left, but the Comets hit a 3 point shot at the buzzer to put the game into a second overtime. The Comets made their foul shots down the stretch to put the game away and go on to win 67 to 62. Leading the scoring for Fairport was Condello with 23 points. Also scoring were Bruce with 16, McAdam with 8, Tiberio with 6, Pelusio with 6 and Roberts with 3.

In the last game of the season Fairport traveled to Penfield. Fairport opened up an early lead outscoring the Patriots in the first half 31 to 17. The Raiders held the lead in the second half to go on to win 55 to 42. Leading the scoring for Fairport was Bruce with 13 points. Also scoring were McAdam with 8, Pelusio with 8, Condello with 8. Tiberio with 7, Duell with 6, Roberts with 3 and Reilly with 2.
