Fairport Varsity Cheerleaders -- National Champions!

On March 4th, 2004, the Fairport Varsity Cheerleading team flew to Orlando, Florida to compete in the U.S. Open Cheerleading and Dance Championships. Going to Nationals in Florida is a longtime Fairport tradition.

Our team was just incredible.  After a near flawless performance, Fairport emerged from the first day of competition in first place. They were rock-solid. After a nutty night of swashbuckling and other pirate-related activities, the girls came out swinging on Sunday.

Maybe the pirates were a secret inspiration to our Raiders.

Maybe the dance party finale to Saturday night really pumped them up.

Or maybe ... these girls are simply the best, hardest working Varsity team there is.
