Fairport JV Boy’s Basketball Drop 2 Close Ones

The Fairport JV Basketball team lost to McQuaid and Webster Schroeder last week. On Wednesday the Raiders hosted the Knights. Fairport led by 15 going into the fourth quarter. McQuaid outscored Fairport 18 to 3 to force the game into overtime. McQuaid made 3 of 4 foul shots in the overtime period to seal the victory 58 to 55. Leading the scoring for Fairport was Scott Deady with 16 points. Also scoring were David Kozar with 10, Brandon Stevens with 9, Zack Scribani with 8, Marc Bertucci with 6, Robby Magee with 4, and Brendan McCarthy with 2.

Fairport traveled to Webster Schroeder on Friday night. The game was close all of the way with Fairport leading 34 to 27 going into the fourth quarter. Webster made 8 of 9 foul shots in the fourth quarter to win the game 48 to 47. Lead the scoring for Fairport was Stevens with 18 points. Also scoring were Bertucci with 7, Deady with 7, Magee with 6, Scribani with 4, Kozar with 3, and McCarthy with 2.
