Fairport JV Boy’s Basketball open season with a victory

The Fairport JV Boy’s Basketball opened their season with a win last Friday night defeating Brockport at home 64 to 36. The Raiders jumped out to an early lead outscoring Brockport 23 to 11 in the first quarter. They tightened up the defense in the second quarter holding Brockport to 4 points and increased their lead to 37 to 15 at the half. Leading a balanced scoring attack were Brandon Stevens with 8 points and Scott Deady with 8 points. Also scoring were John McDonnell with 7, Zack Scribani with 7, Mike DeRusso with 6, David Kozar with 6, Marc Bertucci with 6, Sam Townsend with 5, Andy Petersen with 4, Larry Hall with 4, and Brendan McCarthy with 3. Also playing and contributing to the win were Matt Falcon, Robby Magee, and Tim Lukenbill.
