Fairport Boys Varsity Says Goodbye to Doug Cunningham

A major part and a positive presence in the Fairport Basketball community for the past four years, Doug Cunningham announced on Sunday that he's leaving Fairport and our basketball community to pursue new opportunities. Doug has been such a valued member of our varsity coaching squad and while he may be moving on, his influence will be felt here for years to come.

Dougie you taught me a lot about working hard to achieve great things and the game of basketball. When I found out you were leaving I was upset because I know I still have so much to learn from you. Dear Doug, I read on fairportbasketball.com that you were about to move on and ´´pursue new opportunities´´. I guess you couldn't have picked a better point of time after having won this year's championship. One should always stop when its best to keep it in good memory. I just wanted to say good luck, wish you the very best and thank you for all the good times I had in practice.
