The Red Raiders finished their season on a positive note defeating Spencerport by a score of 57-28. All the team members saw large amounts of playing time and contributed greatly in this game. Some standouts include Ted Knowles who scored 8 of his 10 points in the third quarter. Keith Jenks scored 6 of his 10 in the second quarter as once again he displayed outstanding speed and quickness, and Matt Pelin who added 6 of his 8 points in the final stanza. Andy Bishop scored 6 and Andy Magee added 5 more as the Red Raiders totaled 25 points in the third quarter alone.

The Red Raiders parlayed strong defense to defeat Hilton by the score of 44-28. For most of the game the Raiders were off line on their shots, but with the inspired team defense held Hilton to their season low. Andy Magee finally warmed up offensively scoring 8 of his ten point in the fourth quarter, while Ted Knowles scored 6 and Jason Defranco added 5 points in the game. Fairport's size advantage and offensive rebounding created enough second chance points for the Raiders to finally pull away.

Steve Scovner played his best all around game to date combing 11 points in only 2 quarters of actiion, with his usual court leadership and intense defensive pressure. Keith Jenks added 8 point in the only quarter of action he played as he recovers from illness. Jason DeFranco and Peter larmann added 6 points each, while Andy Magee and Devon Delaughter chipped in with 5 a piece.

The Raiders rolled out to a big first quarter lead behind a solid press and consistent offensive production. Ted Knowles was the main recipient of the offensive production parlaying solid team execution into 21 points for the game. Chris Benza benefited from the strong press and new defensive alignment to score 16 point mostly off steals and turnovers. Others scoring for Fairport were Andy Magee with 6, and Ulysses Miles, Jason DeFranco, Peter Larmann, and Andy Bishop with 4 each.

01.14.07 - Fairport boys basketball coach Scott Fitch won his 100th career game last Friday, reaching the milestone in just 119 games. The fifth-year coach is still 359 shy of his father, Jeff, who coached for 33 years.

The Freshmen Red Team ran their record to 8-0, winning a hard fought contest by the score of 44-37. Ted Knowles led Fairport scoring 22 points and also recording double digits in rebounds. Andy Magee added 7 points and was responsible for defending against Irondequoits best offensive threat. Steve Scovner once again organized the Red offense and kept the Irondequoit press from affecting the Raiders.

In their toughest contest to date The Red team came out rusty from the holiday break and quickly fell behind 11-0. Behind the efforts of Ted Knowles, Jason Defranco, and Andy Magee the Raiders recovered to lead 13-11 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter was decisive for Fairport as six different players chippied in points for a halftime lead of 24-13. high scorer for the game was the human tarantula, Andy Magee who scored 15 point on a number of difficult twisting inside moves. Devon Delaughter had two three pointers on his way to ten points, while Defranco and Knowles scored 8 points each.

A valiant fourth quarter come back fell short as the Blue team lost to a tough Gates squad. Tyler Massie and Brad Fitter each scored 8 points in the final quarter to lead the Red Raider charge. Sean Sullivan added five points in the second quarter and Ali Islam scored his first basket of the season.

The Red Raiders raced to a 23-9 first quarter lead using six points each from Chris Benza, Jason DeFranco, and Andy Bishop. High scorer for Fairport was Keith "track star" Jenks with 16 points. Highlights included great passing from Andy Magee (on a wraparound under the basket for an easy score), Steve Scovner (on a jump stop into the lane kickout to Devon Delaughter for a three pointer), and a nice dish from Andy Vasavong to Benza for Fairport's last basket.

The Red Raiders were led by Andy Magee's 14 points, and Andy Bishop's 10 in defeating Hilton 53-32. Magee is the fifth different player to lead the Raiders in scoring this season. Ted Knowles added 8, while Steve Scovner chipped in 4 points, to go along with numerous assists from the Fairport point guard.

Will Siembor scored 12 of his 14 points in the first quarter as Fairport jumped out to a huge lead. Bradley Fitter contributed 12 points, James Cunningham 9, and Brian McMillen 8 points. Zach Firth added 7 points, and he and Terrence Washington did a fantastic job on the boards.

Senior Kevin Borden scored 14 of his game-high 30 points in the first quarter to jump-start Fairport.

The Blue team overcame a sluggish start to come from behind for the victory at Schroeder. Bradley Fitter had a tremendous all-around game and was the leading scorer with 17. Tyler Massie had 12 points and added six assists. Brian McMillen had 12 rebounds and 10 points.

Fairport was led by Ted Knowles, who scored 12 of his 14 points in the first quarter on the way to a 18-2 lead. Keith Jenks continued his fine play with 10 points while Devon Delaughter and Andy Magee added seven points each. Magee played his best game to date with strong rebounding and timely assists.
