Fairport's Kyle Downey Named Birdseye Foods Player of the Week

Division 1 - Kyle Downey, Fairport. Kyle scored 39 points, including 6 three-pointers, in a win over St. Francis Prep, to earn MVP honors of the Canisius Tournament. He also scored 14 points in a win against Canisius and 11 points in a win against Brockport

Division 2 - Josh Menges, Olympia. Josh scored 15 points, including 4 out of 4 free throws in over time, to help give Olympia a win over Jefferson. He also scored 7 points in a victory over Thomas.

Division 3 - Yianni Apostolakos, Mendon. Yianni scored the winning basket to give Mendon the victory over cross-town rival Sutherland in the Rainbow Classic at the U of R. He finished the game with 12 points. He also scored 14 points and collected 8 rebounds in a win over Eastridge.
