Fairport JV Boy’s Basketball Defeat Churchville and Gates

The Fairport JV boy’s basketball team earned two victories last week beating Churchville and Gates. In the first game the Raiders travel to Churchville. Fairport jumped out to a 19 to 9 lead in the first quarter. They led 33 to 16 at the half. Fairport outscored the Saints 19 to 6 in the third quarter to put the game away and go on to win 63 to 28. Leading a balanced scoring attack was Michael Glenn with 17 points. Also scoring were Robby Magee with 13, Ace Ravenell with 6, Adam Lostumbo with 5, Mark Regan with 4, Geoff Soja with 4, Zach Tatro with 3, and Bryce Hammerton, Robbie Rath, Ryan Hourihan, James Hamill, Brian Dastin all with 2 and Phil Mormon with 1.

In the next game Fairport hosted Gates Chili. The Raiders had a great defensive effort in this game holding Gates to 21 points through 3 quarters and going on to win 52 to 40. Fairport made 12 of 16 foul shots in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Leading the scoring for Fairport was Hamill and Soja both with 13 points. Also scoring were Robby Magee with 12, Ravenell with 6, Glenn with 4, Lostumbo with 2 and Mormon with 2. Their record is now 3-4. g
