Monroe County basketball tourney postponed

(February 14, 2007) — Today’s snowstorm has forced the postponement of the first round of the Monroe County boys basketball tournament.

All games have been moved to Thursday night.

The sites remain the same, except for Bracket 5, which moves from Penfield to East Irondequoit Eastridge because of a scheduling conflict.

The second round of the tournament is scheduled for Friday night.

Here is the complete schedule for Thursday:

Bracket One at Rush-Henrietta: No. 3 Greece Athena vs. No. 2 Fairport, 6:15 p.m.; No. 4 Batavia vs. No. 1 Rush-Henrietta, 8 p.m.

Bracket Two Brighton: No. 7 Pittsford Mendon vs. No. 6 Hilton, 6:15 p.m.; No. 8 Webster Thomas vs. No. 5 Brighton, 8 p.m.

Bracket Three at Pittsford Sutherland: No. 11 Churchville-Chili vs. No. 10 Gates Chili, 6:15 p.m.; No. 12 Greece Olympia vs. No. 9 Pittsford Sutherland, 8 p.m.

Bracket Four at Greece Arcadia: No. 15 Greece Odyssey vs. No. 14 Webster Schroeder, 6:15 p.m.; No. 16 Brockport vs. No. 13 Greece Arcadia, 8 p.m.

Bracket Five at East Irondequoit Eastridge: No. 19 East Irondequoit Eastridge vs. No. 18 Irondequoit, 6:15 p.m.; No. 20 Spencerport vs. No. 17 Penfield, 8 p.m.
